The room was spacious and had a nice table and chair set to eat at.
I like when hotels offer a nice breakfast and some additional things to purchase in the fridge.

I would have appreciate help with my luggage. I would have loved to have coffee and tea in my room. If that expectation can not be met, have a coffee and tea corner at reception where you can help yourself to coffee and tea. Its not nice to start your day and you cant have something to drink.

What was the highlight of 14 Living
Overall good value for money
Rooms are large. Description states a queen size bed but we had a king size. Not much of a view but rooms are well maintained and cleaned every day. There is a small restaurant and a laundry on site. While the staff don't speak much English we found that we could make ourselves understood with google translate (be sure to download the offline version of Thai!!!). The hotel is conveniently located to a couple of shopping malls (10 min taxi ride). Walking distance (less than 5 mins walk) to a very good International hospital (Bangpakok 9) - we used their services to obtain a medical clearance so we could sign-up for the public swimming pool (all foreigners need to provide a medical clearance). No problems getting taxis - quite often taxis drive past the hotel, otherwise you can flag a taxi down from the main road. Be sure to ask the taxi driver to use the meter! There is a 7-Eleven, Familymart (at hospital) and TESCO all within less than 5 mins walking distance. The hospital also has a Starbucks and just outside the hospital is a small coffee shop that serves a nice strong coffee and pastries. Overall if you are looking for a cheap but clean place to stay and you are happy taking taxis to get most places then this is worth considering given its price. Be mindful that many of the main attractions are on the other side of the river hence the need to taxi most places (or taxi to the nearest BTS Skytrain (Talat Phlu - Silom Line) which can then get you to most places around Bangkok).
The water pressure in the shower is a bit sensitive (at least it was in Room 805) so you will need to play with it a bit but you do get a nice hot shower. There is free WIFI but this becomes very congested after 9pm. If you absolutely need WIFI you should consider buying a WIFI data plan or using it first thing in the morning. There were a number of phone calls that the reception staff did not put through to our room. We were advised when we saw the callers who had tried to phone us that they were told that nobody by our names were staying at the hotel! This happened on at least three occasions.
